FAQ's
Where are you based?
I'm based out of Zanesville, OH!
What's the difference between 6 hours and 8 hours of coverage?
Generally speaking on most timelines, 6 hours runs from getting ready pictures to the start/a little bit into open dancing. The extra 2 hours from an 8 hour timeline extends to all of the dancing, a grand exit, and any other late-reception events. This can be shifted across your timeline anyway you please, leaving room for what events I film throughout the day. Some people don't like the idea of being filmed throwing it back on the dance floor, so I offer 6 hours by default just in case!
How do you handle travel fees?
The first hour of travel is free, with $50 per additional hour of travel. Ex. a 2 hour and 10 minute roundtrip commute accrues $100, a 3 hour and 20 minute roundtrip commute accrues $150. Venues that are a 4 hour roundtrip (2 hour one way) or more distance away require reimbursement for a reasonable stay, on top of accrued travel fees. If you have a destination wedding, let's work something out!
Do you offer wedding related services NOT related to a film?
In the past I've had people approach me with customized package or addon ideas. One bridesmaid wanted me to compile camcorder footage of her wedding, I've put together engagement slideshows, and I've pieced together IPhone footage from guest phones at a wedding. If you're curious about something, don't be afraid to ask!
How long have you been shooting weddings?
I shot my first wedding in June 2023! I've been making videos and films for 6+ years as a personal hobby too, so I've been translating that experience to doing wedding video.
Will you be recording vows? Speeches? If so, how?
For the ceremony, I put a discrete little microphone on the officiant and sometimes the groom as a backup. The DJ, if you have one, may also provide me with a sound feed as a backup backup! Mic'ing the bride is just too much trouble. Gentleman's clothes work better. For toasts, the DJ also has a sound feed that I can tap into as well.
